Karoline Vielemeyer is a writer, director, and editor based between Berlin and the US. She holds an MFA from the Yale School of Drama and has studied and worked in New York, Philadelphia, Paris, Toulouse, Prague, Leipzig, and Berlin. She speaks German, English, and French.

 

She graduated from Prague Film School in 2015, specializing in directing and editing. In 2012, she received a BA from Mount Holyoke College in Theatre Arts and French. 

 

Her work spans film, television, and theater. She directed the short film Mata Hari—Woman in the Mirror and assisted the director on the feature documentary Rock Chicks—I Am Not Female to You. In theater, she has worked on productions at Yale and Yale Repertory Theatre, including The Inspector (after Nikolai Gogol) and Escaped Alone by Caryl Churchill. She has also edited German TV shows such as In All Friendship and The Queen: Fateful Years.
